Dedicated Women’s Health and Wellbeing Leader

EMPOWERING CHANGE
Shamime aims to improve engagement and outcomes for women, especially from South Asian and minoritised communities
SHAMIME JAN
Women’s Health & Wellbeing Advisor | Speaker | Community & Systems Leader
Shamime Jan is a women’s health and wellbeing leader working at the intersection of culture, community, and health systems.
With nearly three decades of experience, her work translates lived experience and frontline delivery into culturally intelligent, prevention-focused approaches that improve engagement, trust, retention, and long-term outcomes for women.
She is the Founder-Director of Bollyfit Active CIC, which provides the real-world delivery and learning platform for her wider advisory, research-informed, and leadership work.
Shamime works with commissioners, NHS partners, public health teams, researchers, funders, VCSE organisations, and women directly — supporting change at both system and individual levels.
Her work is particularly effective where traditional models struggle to engage, retain, or reach women from South Asian and other minoritised communities.
In recognition of her driving positive change, exceptional dedication to social impact, community service, and ethical business, Shamime was nominated as a Finalist in the Northern Power Women Awards 2026 | Person with Purpose.
